Last summer I was lucky enough to go on an adventure around Europe! I went to France, Spain, Italy, Austria and The Netherlands and loved every single one of them. We travelled by train through these countires, some journey’s taking up to a day and others just a few hours. We stayed in hostels, camp sites, hotels, apartments and…train stations!
First stop…
Paris! We took the Eurotunnel to France and that’s where we started our European adventure…
We had a ticket which let us on any train around Europe so this is how we got about…lots and lots of trains…
We visited lots of major cities such as Madrid, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam and tonnes more!
Any opportunity to be a kid again we took it.
Parks became our dining room and baguette lunches became the norm.
Until we decided to treat ourselves…:)
We became masters of occupying ourselves when chilling in train stations.
I turned into a true tourist and couldn’t resist pulling this stunt in Paris.
Of course, my obsession didn’t get left in the UK, I would still stop and look among the beautiful Hotels in awe. This one is the Carlton Intercontinental Hotel in Cannes, absolute luxury…I really wanted to have a nosey inside but didn’t feel dressed for the occassion..
although…our fashion sense was always on point.
We visited some really cool and thought provoking places such as this derelict Olympic stadium from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, quite creepy I thought…
But sometimes we just liked to chill…
Train stations and train stations…
Italy!
We stayed in some wicked places!
Not always the four star plus luxury I like but some of the hostels were super cool and perfect for us snap happy travellers!
There was fun around every corner! Happy people everywhere, this is what I remember the most…
There were photo opportunities everywhere and I was in my element!
Living together for a month became a breeze when we got the hang of it…I couldn’t have asked for any better friends to travel with!
Looking at all of these pictures has got me reminiscing..I really need to do this again! It really was the BEST trip of my life and one which I would never forget. I have hundreds more pictures of our adventure but really can’t post all of them (as much as I want to). I would reccommend interailing to anyone who might be thinking about it. Stop thinking about it….JUST DO IT!!
